Our Earth Day Pledges:

Rather than printing out our pledges, we only used our computers.  Mr. Noseworthy will mark them on line.

Earth Day Pledge and Promise

By Bethan

•  I will make compost for my garden.

•  Unplugging all the electronics when I'm finish with them.

•  I will bring my re useable water bottle to school.

•  I will I will choose products that are more eco-friendly.

•  I will re-use items that can be re-used.

•  Turning off light is something I can do.

•  I can and will carpool or make my parents and brothers carpool.

•  I'll try to reduce global warming.

•  I'll turn water off when I am brushing my teeth.

•  I WILL REDUCE, REUSE, AND RECYCLE.

1. Compost left over food instead of throwing it away

2. Bring a reusable lunch instead of a paper bag lunch

3. Use reusable containers instead of plastic bags

4. make sure you always recycle empty juice boxes and other stuff that can be recycled

5. Make sure u shut off lights after u leave a room I sometimes leave them on

6. Turn water off when not using it for instance while doing your teeth

7. Shower for a reasonable time

8. Try to not to be on the computer for to long at a time take little breaks.

9. Same goes with the TV. It takes up a lot of energy.

10. Try and buy environmentally friendly products from stores more often

TEN THINGS I WILL DO TODAY TO HELP THE ENVIROMENT Branden

• II WILL CARPOOL LOTS MORE BUT USUALLY WE CARPOOL FOR HOCKEY AND BASEBALL

• I WILL RECYCLE MORE INSTEAD OF THROWING RECYCABLES IN THE GARBAGE.

• PLANT TREES GRADENS AND TRY NOT TO RUN OVER THEM WITH MY QUAD BECAUSE I ACCIDENTLY RAN OVER MY MOMS FLOWER BEAD ON MY QUAD.

• TURN OFF TV'S AND LIGHTS WHEN I LEAVE.

• DON'T USE SO MUCH POWER I USUALLY HAVE THE LIGHT ON WHEN I AM GOING TO GO TO BED BUT THEN I FORGET TO SHUT IT OFF AND I SLEEP WITH IT ON AND MY MOM HAS TO SHUT IT OFF.

• TAKE A REASONABLE TIMED SHOWER BUT I USUALLY DO.

• DO NOT LITTER WICH SOMETIMES ME AND MY FRIENDS DO.

• PICK UP LITTER USUALLY DON'T BUT I WILL.

• TELL FRIENDS NOT TO LITTER.

• TRY NOT TO QUAD AS MUCH BECAUSE ITS BAD ON THE ENVIROMENT AND IT RIPS UP GRASS AND THROWS ROCKS ONTO GRASS AND ITS VERY FUN BUT BAD

FIN I WILL TRY TO STOP DOING THESE THINGS AND START DOING SOME OF THESE THINGS.! J

Ten Things I Will Do for The Environment.

10. I will unplug my electronics when I am not using them.

9. I won't use plastic water bottles instead I will use a metal water bottle.

8. I will carpool with friends when it is possible.

7. I will reuse plastic bags when I go to the store.

6. When I am do with the room I am using I will turn off the lights.

5. I will open a window instead of using the air conditioner.

•  I will reuse recycled paper instead of getting a new piece for every drawing.

3. I won't waste water on one thing instead I will wait till there are more things that need washed.

•  I will recycle more things that can be recycled.

•  And I will not buy new clothes when I don't need them.

Earth Day Pledges

•  I will read a book or play outside instead of watching TV.

•  I will plant a wide variety of plants.

•  I will turn off the computer when I am not using it.

•  I will reduce, reuse, and recycle.

•  I will make compost to put in gardens.

•  I will turn the lights off when I'm not in that room.

•  I will take a shower instead of a bath.

•  I will use a reusable bottle instead of a plastic bottle.

•  I will unplug more things, especially when I am not using them.

•  I will not keep the water running while I am brushing my teeth.

My Ten Promises I Will Do on Earth Day

10. Whenever possible I will ride my bike to school.

9. I will try to recycle as much as possible.

8. I will definitely play on my trampoline instead of using an electronic device.

7. I promise to always turn off the lights when I do not need them.

6. My pledge is to pick up any garbage or recycling I see on Earth day. Or try to whenever I can.

5. Will I nag at my brother for not throwing his pop can in the recycling!?! You bet!

4. I will make sure that my mother takes a reusable bag to the grocery store. And she will be biking to the Co-op.

3. My sister will be forced to turn the tap off while brushing her teeth!

2. I will participate in any school activities that have a connection to the environment.

Ten things I will do to help the environment

I will try to….

•  turn off the lights when not in the room or at home,

•  use the electronics less,

•  play out side on a hot day if it is cold inside so you don't use the heater and waste energy,

•  bike to school or walk so you don't pollute the air,

•  use containers to bring food to school not in a bag or reuse the bag,

•  reuse bags that are reusable or reuse the plastic bags,

•  keep paper don't through it away if you make a small mistake,

•  Reduce, Reuse, Recycle,

•  Have more salad not meat that you cook,

AND I WILL also…

•  Carpool more if necessary!!!!!!!!!

•  Unplug electronics after I am done with them!

•  Turn off lights when I am done in that room!

•  I will use a plastic container instead of a plastic bag!

•  Plant more plants!

- I will save water by not letting the water run until it is cold I will put ice cubes in the water to make it cold!

•  I pledge to also get my family to do the same things to help the environment.

GOAL SETTING:  Your child needs to set goals in their agenda on a weekly basis.  Students are encouraged to set goals related to school, their home life, or perhaps a hobby or past time.  They need to be attainable.
